Abstract The purpose of this two-part series on congenital infections is to provide the reader with an update on recent controversies and advances for a selected group of congenital infections. Part 1 covered cytomegalovirus, toxoplasmosis, rubella, and herpes simplex. This article focuses on parvovirus, Listeria, tuberculosis, syphilis, and varicella, offering a brief overview of rare and unusual causes for congenital infection.
